The Globe: Kendall Band

There hasn’t been too much activity here on the RFL blog: as anyone that has spent any time at MIT knows, the end of April and beginning of May tend to be a time of overwhelming work. Students are trying to finish up their semesters and readying for finals — we instructors and professors are trying to help the students wrap up their projects while readying our labs for summer activities.

On the Kendall Band front, the Globe has published an article that Eric Moskowitz has been working on since we started taking down the handles on April 1. There’s also a nice video and some gracious (so far) comments at the bottom.

To date, we’ve taken down the 6 instrument handles and disassembled them in our shop. Most of what’s broken are just small off-the-shelf parts: bearings, nuts, and bolts. We’ll get to fixing them soon, and then we’ll start taking down Pythagorus.
